    The Linda Kinsey Brown Award

This award was created to honor the legacy of long time CIU 10 employee, Linda Kinsey Brown.  Linda retired from the IU after 37 years of service in June 2014.  Everyone who had the fortune to work with Linda knew the personal and professional characteristics she demonstrated on a daily basis.  Linda was dedicated to the students, teachers, and parents in our three counties, and tirelessly worked to improve the educational outcomes for all students, especially those students with communication disabilities.

Linda truly displayed the core values of the CIU 10:

Integrity, Courtesy, Accountability, Respect, and Empathy

In an effort to express to Linda our great admiration of her, we honored Linda as the first recipient of this award at her retirement celebration June 6, 2014.

Eligibility:  All CIU 10 professional employees (teacher, speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, school psychologist, etc).
