Guest Teacher Trainings
The Central Intermediate Unit # 10 provides Guest Teacher Trainings to our local school districts in an effort to increase the pool of substitute teachers. Guest Teachers are individuals in the community, who do not have teacher certification, but possess a Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in certain fields. The Pennsylvania Department of Education will grant an Emergency Permit allowing the individual to do day-day substitute teaching in our schools, once the training program, required documentation (transcript, clearances), and PDE application processes are completed.
